Weekend freeway restrictions in the Valley for April 17-20

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced Thursday that freeway closures and lane restrictions across the Valley may cause traffic over the weekend.

• Eastbound Loop 202 will be closed between Interstate 10 and Price Road in Chandler from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday and from 10 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday.

• Grand Avenue will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between Loop 303 and 163rd Avenue in Surprise from 3 a.m. to noon Saturday.

• Loop 202 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between Power and Broadway roads in east Mesa from 5 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday.

• Alma School Road will be closed in both directions at Loop 202 in Mesa from 5 p.m. Friday to noon Monday.

• McKellips Road will be closed in both directions at Loop 202 from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday.

• Northbound Interstate 17 will be narrowed to one lane overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights. Northbound I-17 off- and on-ramps between Buckeye Road and Adams Street will also closed.
