GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Fire investigators have determined that a fire at a Glendale apartment was started by a child playing with a lighter.

Glendale Fire Department crews responded to the blaze about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday and quickly extinguished it.

Two adults and two children under the age of 6 lived at the apartment.

They escaped safely and were out of the apartment by the time fire crews arrived.

Authorities didn't release any names of the family members or any information on the child accused of starting the fire.
