PHOENIX -- Phoenix police are releasing the identity of a burglary suspect fatally shot by a homeowner.

Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos says 22-year-old Aaron Fisher was shot Saturday night by a west Phoenix homeowner who said he returned home and found a man had broken into house.

According to police, the shooting occurred when the homeowner confronted the burglary suspect as he came out of a bedroom.

Martos says the homeowner hasn't been charged but the case will be sent to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office for a review.
