TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities in Tucson say a couple was able to escape their burning home after the family dog alerted them to the blaze.

Tucson Fire Department spokesman Capt. Barrett Baker said the couple's dog woke them up by barking near their bed. The couple and Reilly were unhurt.

Baker said arriving fire crews found the garage and vehicles inside on fire when they arrived early Sunday. They kept the fire from spreading to the rest of the house but it suffered major damage and three vehicles were destroyed and others damaged.
