GOLDEN VALLEY, Ariz. -- Authorities in northwestern Arizona say human remains found last week have been identified as those of a missing Golden Valley man.

Mohave County Sheriff's officials say 74-year-old Vernon Victor Williams was reported missing Sept. 12.

A friend of Williams told authorities that he hadn't seen him for about two weeks before he contacted the sheriff's office.

A pickup truck belonging to Williams was found about a half-mile from where the remains were located last Saturday.

Investigators say there's no sign of foul play in Williams' death.
