PHOENIX -- University of Arizona police were responding to reports of a man with a rifle near the McKale Center on Thursday.

Campus police were urging people to stay away from the McKale Garage, where the man was reportedly seen with the rifle on the first floor of the garage.

It appeared that some student-athletes were placed on lockdown in the McKale Center.

However, a search of the garage did not yield a the subject.

An all-clear was issued shortly after.

The possibly armed man was reported as being a Hispanic male standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, shorts and a backpack.

Anyone with information on the subject can contact the University of Arizona Police Department at (520) 621-8273.
