TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say a swarm of bees have attacked around 20 people at a Tucson birthday party.

The Tucson Fire Department said the bizarre attack occurred Saturday afternoon at Fort Lowell Park.

Investigators say fire crews found about 20 people, including children, with bee strings. All were treated at the scene.

The partygoers were moved from the area and continued with the party while firefighters dressed in protective gear killed the bees with foam.

No one was transported to a hospital.
