Flagstaff business raided in gambling probe

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- An investigation into allegations of illegal gambling has resulted in a raid at a Flagstaff business and two Arizona homes.

The Arizona Daily Sun reports law enforcement officials served a search warrant at the Fourth Street business early Thursday. They also searched homes in Phoenix and Parks.

Flagstaff police said investigators found hundreds of computers that were allegedly used as unregulated gambling devices for online gambling. They also seized about $14,000 in cash.

Sgt. Cory Runge said the people running the scheme were able to set very low win ratios on the games they offered.

Investigators said they believe the ring may have been conducting illegal gambling operations in multiple states.

So far, no suspects have been named and no criminal charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
