Man arrested in fatal shooting in South Tucson
SOUTH TUCSON, Ariz. -- One man is dead and another in custody in South Tucson after a fender bender in a fast food drive-through led to a fatal shooting.
South Tucson police were called about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday about a man with a gun in a McDonald's parking lot.
When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Francisco Gonzalez-Alvarez lying in the parking lot where he had been shot.
He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say 22-year-old Zoran Medic was still in possession of a gun when he was arrested.
He's being held on suspicion of second-degree murder.
Police say a minor traffic collision occurred in the restaurant's drive-through. That led to a verbal and physical altercation between Medic and Gonzalez-Alvarez outside of the vehicles in the parking lot.
