SEDONA, Ariz. -- Authorities say a body found along the banks of Oak Creek has been identified as a woman reported missing Sept. 12.

The Yavapai County Medical Examiner's Office on Wednesday confirmed that the body found by hikers was that of 47-year-old Amy Davis.

The cause of death is listed as ``asphyxia due to drowning,'' but authorities say the manner of death still is undetermined.

The body of the Village of Oak Creek resident was located Sept. 19 about one mile south from where a backpack belonging to her was discovered.
