PHOENIX -- Yavapai County authorities have released the identity of one of the two people killed in a helicopter crash north of Phoenix.

The county sheriff's office and medical examiner's office confirms that one of the victims of Saturday's crash was 25-year-old Brynne Smith of Scottsdale.

They say the identity of the other person- believed to be the pilot- still hasn't been confirmed as of Monday.

Investigators are waiting on DNA and dental records.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board still are investigating the cause of the crash.

Mayer Fire Department officials say the UH1 model helicopter crashed nose first along Interstate 17 near Mile Post 268.

Mayer is about 70 miles north of Phoenix and is located near Black Canyon City and Cordes Lakes.
