PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns are trading their jerseys and basketballs this week for aprons and paintbrushes.
The team kicked off its first ever “Week of Service” on Monday, by serving lunch at St. Vincent de Paul in downtown Phoenix.
“We’re going to be out here all week doing different things for the community, and showing the people that we care,” said former Suns center Steven Hunter.
On Friday, Marcus and Markieff Morris will be painting over graffiti in downtown.
The “Week of Service” also includes stops at St. Mary’s Food bank and Central High School.
