Cooler weather receives warm welcome in Phoenix

Let the cheering begin: fall has arrived in metro Phoenix.
A cold front dropped overnight temperatures in metro Phoenix to the coolest in months, according to the National Weather Service, Residents in some parts of the Valley awoke to 67 degrees Monday.
The Valley hasn’t enjoyed weather that cool since May 9. Temperatures at the Grand Canyon dropped to 29 and Flagstaff was under freeze warnings.
Sunday’s high was 91.
The rest of the week will average about 90 degrees during the day, with Tuesday expected to be the warmest at 95. Lows are anticipated to be in the 60s.
Weather.com said the average temperature in September is 100, with a low of 77.
