ROUND ROCK, Ariz. -- An Arizona man is facing charges after tribal police say he stabbed his brother in the head.

The Arizona Daily Sun reports that Wayland Begay recently was arrested and charged with assault with intent to do bodily harm with a deadly weapon stemming from the bizarre attack in Round Rock last week.

According to the Navajo Police Department, Begay stabbed his brother shortly after a confrontation in which the victim punched another one of his brothers repeatedly. Witness said Begay jumped on his brother's back and then stabbed him.

Police said the victim was later taken to Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix and is suffering from bleeding to the brain.

It was not known if Begay had an attorney.
