BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. -- Authorities in northwestern Arizona have arrested a man suspected of intentionally setting more than a dozen fires over the past few months in Bullhead City.

Bullhead City police said 30-year-old Adam Wayne Zammetti was booked Friday into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

He's being held on suspicion of 11 counts of felony arson.

Bullhead City police and fire departments have been investigating a rash of arson fires since July, mainly in trash containers behind the Riverview Mall.

The fires were extinguished before any major damage was caused or spread to a structure.

Police detectives conducted surveillance on Sept. 20 and said they saw Zammetti light a mattress on fire that was next to a trash container.

They said Zammetti admitted to series of fires and was taken into custody.
