SEDONA, Ariz. -- Authorities say a body has been found along the banks of Oak Creek and it's believed to be a woman missing since last week.

Yavapai County Sheriff's officials say hikers discovered the body around noon Thursday.

Deputies on scene believe it's the body of 47-year-old Amy Davis, who's a Village of Oak Creek resident.

She was reported missing on Sept. 12.

Sheriff's officials say the body was located about one mile south from where a backpack belonging to Davis was discovered and there's no evidence of foul play.

They say identity confirmation and cause of death will be determined by the county medical examiner.
