HOLBROOK, Ariz. -- Eastbound Interstate 40 has partially reopened east of Holbrook in northeastern Arizona after a closure because of an accident that caused an eight-mile traffic backup.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said the accident occurred Wednesday morning about 30 miles east of Holbrook and involved two tractor-trailer rigs.

According to ADOT, a single eastbound lane has been reopened and that drivers should expect delays in the area.
