Monsoon’s last gasps may have come and gone

The monsoon doesn’t officially end until Sept. 30 but the storms that socked the Valley on Monday and Tuesday may have been its final act.
Matthew Hirsch with the National Weather Service said the state has entered a drying period.
“It is possible this is the end of the monsoon here,” he said. “The monsoon moisture has shifted into Colorado and New Mexico and across the desert southwest we’re just expecting increasing dry air.”
