SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Two men are in custody after a barricaded situation at a south Scottsdale home in which two people were held hostage before escaping unharmed.

Scottsdale police say the husband and wife escaped by jumping from a second-story balcony Wednesday morning.

Their names weren't immediately released.

Police say the couple was being held on a money demand for a business deal that went wrong.

When officers arrived on the scene, police say one of the suspected kidnappers came out unarmed while the other man remained inside and was armed.

Police negotiated with the man and he eventually walked out around noon Wednesday.

The names of the two men in custody haven't been released by police yet.
