TUCSON, Ariz. -- A former Arizona Department of Corrections officer has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for having a second sexual relationship with a Tucson girl.
Pima County prosecutor say 34-year-old Robert Joseph Hamm was sentenced Monday to eight years in prison for violating his probation in a 2011 case involving the same teen.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and was given 1 1/2 year sentences on each of the two counts, to be served consecutively.
The Arizona Daily Star says Hamm served a year in prison after pleading guilty in 2011 to having sex with the then 14-year-old girl, who was the daughter of a friend.
Tucson police were alerted after the girl's parents found a diary of her encounters with Hamm.
