PHOENIX (AP) - The wife of U.S. Sen. John McCain and Mexico's former first lady will meet next week in the Phoenix suburb of Peoria to discuss immigration and human trafficking.

Cindy McCain and Marta Sahagun de Fox are expected to talk about the issues affecting the relationship between the U.S. and Mexico, with emphasis on their shared efforts to stop human trafficking between the two countries.

Both women support humanitarian causes and will speak at a breakfast event Thursday at Peoria's Public Safety Administration Building.

The McCain Institute for International Leadership and the United Peoria Foundation are sponsoring the event.

The United Peoria Foundation is a nonprofit headed by Peoria Vice Mayor Tony Rivero.
