PHOENIX -- Eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Buckeye have reopened Friday after a car accident.

A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene after a wrong-way driver got onto the freeway and crashed.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said the accident occurred around 10:15 a.m. at State Route 85.

The affected area is about 30 miles west of central Phoenix.
