Phoenix woman accused of driving impaired on I-17
PHOENIX -- Authorities say a Phoenix woman has been arrested for allegedly driving impaired and in the wrong direction on Interstate 17 north of Cordes Junction.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say Marilyn Vaughn was booked into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.
She's being held on suspicion of DUI-alcohol, aggravated assault, criminal damage and five counts of endangerment.
It was unclear Thursday if Vaughn has an attorney.
DPS received reports of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the interstate about 5 a.m. Monday.
A highway patrol officer positioned his vehicle in a way that caused the wrong way vehicle to enter a depressed dirt median along I-17.
There were no reported injuries.
