NORFOLK, Va. -- An Arizona man faces charges in Virginia of killing an elderly barber in 2010.
Media outlets report that a grand jury in Norfolk indicted 36-year-old Bernard Alexander Kearney of Maricopa, Ariz., on Wednesday. Kearney is charged with first-degree murder, robbery, attempted robbery and several weapons counts.
Kearney is accused of fatally shooting 86-year-old Henry McIntosh Sr. at the Square Deal Barber Shop in Norfolk on April 17, 2010.
Kearney is in custody at the city jail in Virginia Beach awaiting trial on unrelated robbery and weapons charges.
Police initially arrested another man in connection with McIntosh's death, but prosecutors later dropped the charges.
