Phoenix already preparing for APS light parade

There might be several weeks of triple-digit temperatures remaining, but the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is wasting no time preparing for the 2013 APS Electric Light Parade on Dec. 7.

"It is just spectacular. If you've never been out there, come out and see the lights, the magic, and feel the holiday spirit that's out there," said spokeswoman Sarah Chapman.

"This year's theme is Wild West Holiday Roundup," she added.

Interested residents can submit applications if they would like to participate in the event Find comprehensive registration information at phoenix.gov/parks or call 602-261-8069.
