TUCSON, Ariz. -- Federal wildlife officers have fatally shot seven aggressive javelinas that have chased and attacked people in a Tucson neighborhood.
Arizona Game and Fish Department officials said three subadult javelinas were left unharmed because they weren't involved in the attacks
According to the Arizona Daily Star, Game and Fish spokesman Mark Hart said the department considered the euthanizing of the javelinas on Tuesday night necessary because relocation isn't a good option.
Hart said the javelinas are used to eating garbage and may not be able to find food in the wild.
The attacks included one involving a woman who was injured while walking her dog in the eastside Tucson neighborhood last week.
