Now is the time to start getting influenza vaccine

PHOENIX -- Time to think about getting protection from a nasty bug.

Influenza has not started circulating yet. It can start circulating as soon as November or as late as February, but Dr. Karen Lewis with the Arizona Department of Health Services said, "now is the time to start getting your influenza vaccine."

Meanwhile, Yuma County will open flu clinics Tuesday while Valley residents await shipments of the vaccine.

About the Author

Sandra moved from the small border city of Yuma, Arizona to study Broadcast Journalism at Arizona State University in the late 90s. Since graduating, she's worked at several local TV stations including Univision, Fox 10 and 3TV.
