PHOENIX — Overnight camping at a popular Arizona campground has been temporarily suspended because of rising water, the Tonto National Forest said.
The water levels near Catfish Point started rising about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The campground is located near Horseshoe Dam.
In order to drain the water, Horseshoe Damn was opened. The water should flow to Bartlett Lake.
It is unknown when Catfish Point will reopen.
