PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Northern Arizona authorities say a homeless man is in custody in connection with an arson case in Prescott.

Prescott police say 33-year-old Daniel Cedergreen is being held in Yavapai County Jail on suspicion of arson and felony criminal damage.

Police say Cedergreen was arrested about 2 a.m. Wednesday after he allegedly flipped over several signs and potted plants and then lit two large banners and a sign on fire.

The fires were still burning when police arrived. Officers say they found Cedergreen in the alley behind Whiskey Row and he appeared to be lighting items in a trash container on fire.

Police say Cedergreen told officers that he was upset and frustrated with living in Prescott, but wouldn't admit to causing any damage or starting any fires.
