PHOENIX -- Federal authorities said a man wanted in northern Arizona for crimes against children has been arrested in Florida.

U.S. Marshals Service officials said 29-year-old Robert Joseph Van Gundy was taken into custody Wednesday in Miami.

An arrest warrant was issued Aug. 14 for Van Gundy after he failed to appear in Yavapai County Superior Court in Prescott.

Prosecutors said Van Gundy was scheduled to stand trial on several charges including luring a minor for sexual exploitation and sexual conduct with a minor.

Authorities said they learned Van Gundy was hiding out in the Miami area with his wife, who had been reported missing by her family.

The Marshals Service said the couple reportedly was living on a small boat at a marina and planning to leave the country soon.
