TUCSON, Ariz. -- A man has been convicted of first-degree murder in a 2011 shooting in a Tucson parking lot.

Juan Carlos Gil was accused of killing 35-year-old Francisco Antonio Gastelo after a University of Arizona football game.

The Arizona Daily Star reports that a Pima County Superior Court jury found the 26-year-old Gil guilty on Wednesday. Jurors got the case on Tuesday.

According to testimony, two men approached and shot Gastelo. One then left in a pickup while the other drove away in Gastelo's car, which was later found abandoned.

Prosecutor Julie Sottosanti says evidence against Gil included his DNA on the murder weapon and the truck.
