PHOENIX -- Authorities say a 3-month-old boy is dead after being left in a hot car for more than an hour in Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the child's father claims he lost track of time after he stopped at a sports bar Wednesday afternoon to check on business.

The 32-year-old man works at the bar as a kitchen manager.

Police say the infant was unconscious when paramedics arrived.

The baby was rushed to Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center, where he later died.

Police say the father could face charges.

His name wasn't immediately released and police also didn't release the name of the child.
