TEMPE, Ariz. -- Authorities say a suspect has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Tempe last week.

Tempe police say 23-year-old Keenin Williams is being held on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, aggravated assault and two counts of endangerment.

He's been booked into Tempe City Jail but police didn't immediately know Monday if Williams has an attorney.

Police say the car Williams allegedly was driving Thursday rear-ended a vehicle in which 60-year-old Ruben Montalbo was a front-seat passenger.

That started a chain-reaction crash that left Montalbo with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital and later died.

Police say Williams fled the accident scene and was located Saturday by Tempe police detectives and taken into custody.
