PHOENIX -- Four men detained by authorities as part of a large-scale drug investigation have been implicated in a double shooting in Phoenix late last month.

Phoenix police and Homeland Security Investigations agents served federal search warrants Wednesday at two Phoenix homes.

They were targeting people allegedly involved in narcotic trafficking who also were considered investigative leads in a July 30 shooting.

Rifles and handguns were seized along with substantial amounts of illegal drugs.

During interviews with the people who were detained, authorities say information was obtained that implicated four of them in a non-fatal double shooting at an apartment.

Police say 19-year-old Kayonte Scott, 20-year-old Jonathan Mejinez-Sanchez, 22-year-old Jovanny Andrade and 18-year-old Bruno Brizuela are being held on suspicion of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied structure and burglary.
