SCOTTSDALE — A man suspected in more than 100 burglaries in the Phoenix metropolitan area is in custody.

Scottsdale police on Wednesday announced the arrest of 52-year-old Anthony Bonzell Johnson.

He's been booked into jail on suspicion of burglary, theft and weapons charges.

They say Johnson is suspected of being the so-called "Dinnertime Burglar" who broke into homes during weekend evenings when people were out to dinner.

Police say the burglar entered the home through an unlocked door or by breaking a window in a backyard and typically stole jewelry, cash and firearms.

Authorities say evidence linked Johnson to a burglary Monday evening.

Scottsdale police executed a search warrant for Johnson's home and say they found evidence from previous burglaries.
