TUCSON, Ariz. -- Police in South Tucson say a dead body has been found in an apartment.

The name of the 42-year-old man hasn't been released yet.

Authorities said Monday that they're looking for witnesses with information about the death.

Police responded to the apartment early Sunday and found the victim lying on the floor with a gunshot wound.

They say the man appeared to be dead for several hours and was a tenant in the apartment.

Police obtained a search warrant and have collected evidence from the apartment as part of their investigation.
