GILBERT, Ariz. -- A man is in custody in connection with a shooting at a suburban Phoenix house party over the weekend.

Gilbert police said Monday that 20-year-old Jhaquel Delvon Will Lewis is being held on suspicion of one count of drive-by shooting and two counts of aggravated assault.

Police received 911 calls about 11 p.m. Saturday about shots fired in a neighborhood northeast of Ray and Gilbert roads.

Officers said they found evidence of gunfire in the street and discovered there had been a house party with nearly 100 young adults attending.

At one point the gunshots broke out and witnesses said that up to 30 rounds were fired.

A woman was later treated and released from a hospital for an undisclosed injury connected to the shooting. Neither her name nor age were released.
