PHOENIX — A family of seven has been displaced from their home after a fire broke out Sunday afternoon.
Fire crews found two single wide trailers with fire coming out of both when they arrived on the scene, near 19th Avenue and Bell Road.
The homes’ vehicles were also burning, according to Captain Jonathan Jacobs with the Phoenix Fire Department.
“And then there was some natural gas that was feeding the fire,” Jacobs said. “So with the ambient temperature outside, there was a lot of radiant heat.”
Both homes were destroyed in the fire. No other structures were damaged.
Jacobs said the family plans to stay with relatives. Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire.
