Phoenix police arrest two on forgery, ID theft charges

PHOENIX — Two people were arrested Thursday on forgery and identification theft charges, the Phoenix Police Department said.
Stephen Wayne Ross, 43, and Shawna Norene Ross, 47, were arrested at hotel near 1600 W. Elliot Road. Both had warrants for forgery-related charges.
When police searched their hotel room, they found hundreds of pieces of mail from Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa and Sedona addresses. They also found a printer, other check forging materials and drugs.
The arrest was carried out by Phoenix police and agents from the U.S. Postal Service.
More charges are being pursued against the suspects.
