PHOENIX -- A collision in a midtown Phoenix intersection overturned a fire truck heading to a house fire and injured four firefighters and the driver of an SUV.

The Friday morning accident at Seventh Street and Indians School Road left the fire engine on its side, while the SUV struck the wall in a nearby parking lot.

According to police, the SUV had the green light while the fire truck had its lights and siren on.

Police Sgt. Steve Martos said the SUV's driver and the firefighters were taken to hospitals for injuries that didn't appear to be life-threatening.

Cleanup and investigation of the accident shortly before 4 a.m. closed the normally busy intersection.
