TUCSON, Ariz. -- Wasp stings prompted the Mountain Vista Fire Department to respond to a Tucson-area school Tuesday.

According to KVOA-TV, those stung at Butterfield Elementary School included two children and one adult.

Mountain Vista Fire District spokeswoman Laura Halady says the children were taken to a hospital as a precaution.

While fire officials initially said the wasps came from a nest near a goal post on school grounds, Marana school district spokeswoman Tamara Crawley says there was no nest present.
