PHOENIX -- Motorists will see traffic restrictions on several state highways in northern Arizona this week as the Department of Transportation installs new electronic messaging signs.

ADOT said it will erect signs on Interstate 17 south of Flagstaff on Tuesday and on Interstate 40 near Winslow on Wednesday and near Kingman on Thursday.

Each site will have rolling closures through the day.

In southern Arizona, ADOT will install a sign on Interstate 10 on Aug. 20 near Willcox.

The signs provide information on road conditions such as dust storms and accident-related closures.

ADOT said the new signs will bring its statewide total to 182.
