Animals rescued from burning Tucson home
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucson firefighters rescued 15 dogs and several other animals from a burning midtown home.
According to the Fire Department, two young children were among three people that went to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
Firefighters arriving at the burning home late Tuesday found flames and heavy smoke inside due a fire that was accidentally started in the kitchen area.
No people were inside when firefighters arrived but they found numerous animals, which they soon rescued. Along with the 15 dogs, there were other small animals such as mice.
The Fire Department said the Pima County Animal Care Center is caring for the animals until the owners are able to make proper arrangements.
