Feds arrest Arizona man wanted for child assaults
PHOENIX -- Federal authorities said a man wanted in northern Arizona accused of sexual assaults on children has been arrested in Illinois.
U.S. Marshals Service officials said Shawn Wayne LeBarge was taken into custody Thursday evening in Ridge Farm by members of the agency's Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Authorities said LeBarge has been charged with numerous sex offenses including four counts of sexual assault on a child and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
A warrant for his arrest was issued in May out of Yavapai County.
Authorities said they learned that LeBarge was in Illinois and found him on the back porch of a home in Ridge Farm. He was arrested without incident.
It wasn't immediately clear Friday when LaBarge might be extradited to Arizona.
