PHOENIX - The city of Phoenix has ranked among the top ten cities for gluten-free menu options.

According to The Huffington Post, Phoenix ranked fifth for glutten-free meal options.

GrubHub, the food delivery online service tracked how many restaurants and users of the site requested gluten-free ingredients for their daily meals.

The findings? More than a 50 percent increase in gluten-free requests over the last year.

The city of Detroit ranked number one for the most gluten-free options, while the city of Providence, R.I. ranked last on the list.

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, grains and many other products and can be used to enhance flavor, provide thickness, add texture or be used as a protein supplement.,
