Arizona middle of road for beer consumption in U.S.

PHOENIX — When it comes to drinking beer, Arizonans must practice moderation.
According to data from the beer institute, Arizonans consumed an average of 29.5 gallons of beer per year, good enough to be ranked 25th in the nation in 2012.
The national per person average was 28.3 gallons per year.
Overall, the fine people of North Dakota consumed the most beer per person at an average of 45.8 gallons per year. Rounding out the top five was New Hampshire, Montana, South Dakota and Wisconsin, respectively.
The state that consumed the least beer per person was Utah, where the average person drank 20.2 gallons per year.
