PHOENIX — Three people, two of them children, were shot in an apartment near 32nd Street and Thomas Road on Tuesday night, in argument sparked by a man throwing up on a dog.
One of the victims, a 41-year-old man, is in critical condition in a local hospital. The children were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told authorities the shooter ran away after the shooting. He has not been found.
Police said an argument began about 10 p.m. when a man standing on a second-floor landing of the complex vomited on a dog below. The dog’s owner took offense and the ensuing argument escalated.
The dog owner got to his apartment door when the younger man began shooting, hitting the victim and his daughter, 14, and a 9-year-old boy who were inside. Three others in the apartment were not injured.
