YARNELL, Ariz. -- The Postal Service has resumed operations at the Yarnell Post Office, which had been closed since July 1 when most of the community was evacuated by a wildfire.

Authorities say the post office wasn't damaged by the blaze.

All customers served by the Yarnell Post Office on Highway 89 could pick up their mail again on Tuesday.

During the wildfire evacuation, Yarnell customers picked up their mail at the Wickenburg Post Office.

Last Friday, mail delivery resumed to all customers in Peeples Valley who are served by mail routes from the Kirkland Post Office.
