YUMA, Ariz. -- One person remains in critical condition after a boating accident involving a U.S. Border Patrol vessel on the Colorado River in Yuma.

Yuma County Sheriff's officials say seven people were aboard a private boat that collided with a Border Patrol vessel that was patrolling the river last Saturday night.

The collision occurred at the Clear Lake Inlet.

Three of the eight people aboard the private boat were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries and one of those people was later flown to a Phoenix hospital.

Their names and hometowns haven't been released.

Authorities say there were no reported injuries on the Border Patrol vessel.

Sheriff's officials said Monday that the cause of the accident remains under investigation, but alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor.
