PHOENIX — The Yarnell Hill wildfire is currently 45 percent contained, but no longer deemed a serious threat to the residents of Peeples Valley.
After four-plus days, the Yavapai County Sheriff Scott Sheriff Mascher and his Command team have lifted the evacuation for Peeples Valley residents effective of 6:30 p.m. Thursday night.
In order to return, residents will need to provide proper identification. If unable to do so, they will be escorted to their residence in order to retrieve proper paperwork.
The evacuation lift does not apply to Yarnell residents at this time.
